Neighbours icon Anne Charleston has reflected on her memories of the soap, quipping that one particular (adorably silly) episode was "rock bottom" for the series.
The Madge Bishop actress reflected on her memories of the Australian show amid the recent news of its axing, admitting she found it "sad".

In case you forgot, the soap aired a scene in 1990 depicting the adorable labrador retriever dreaming of marrying collie Rosie, and them having puppies together. Yup.
Speaking on the surreal episode, Anne said she "cringed" and suggested it was the soap "really hitting rock bottom".
"It was a disgrace because he was such a beautiful dog," she joked. "He didn't deserve a scene like that!"
Anne and Ian also addressed the soap's axing, the former saying: "I mean, it has been 36 or 37 years I think, which is a record in this country. But still, I think it had a few good years left."
Ian added: "I mean a lot of people hang a well-known commodity on soap. I would never do that. It did far too much for me. It made me well looked after in my senior years. It looked after both of us, didn’t it?"
"It certainly did," Anne replied. "It opened doors that never would have been opened."

Channel 5 initially confirmed last month that the soap will stop broadcasting this August, with the series likely to end if another channel isn't found.
Campaigns have since been launched to save the soap, while a number of stars have spoken out on the sad news.
