Neighbours spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Neighbours' David Tanaka sparks concern with his angry behaviour on UK screens next week.

David struggles to cope after pregnant Nicolette Stone (Charlotte Chimes) flees from Erinsborough, leaving him and his husband Aaron Brennan fearing that they'll never get to meet their baby.

This week's episodes on Channel 5 see Nicolette do a runner as she feels betrayed by David, Aaron and Chloe.

Nicolette's departure blows apart the co-parenting arrangement that she made with David and Aaron (Matt Wilson) several months ago. By the time next week's episodes arrive, there's still no word on her whereabouts and whether she'll ever return.

David becomes increasingly overwhelmed by the stress of the situation and he ends up losing grip of his emotions when he subjects Nicolette's obstetrician to an angry outburst.

Karl Kennedy is concerned by David's behaviour and suggests he should take a leave of absence from Erinsborough Hospital until he's in a better frame of mind and can behave more professionally.

David doesn't take kindly to this suggestion, believing that he's being unfairly punished for Nicolette's actions.

Aaron thinks some time off is a good idea and gives David some home truths over his destructive downward spiral.

Aaron reminds David that they're in this mess together, but David can't shake the feeling that Aaron's calmer demeanour suggests he doesn't care as much.

Takaya Honda, who plays David, recently told Digital Spy: "Often Aaron is more of the hot-head in the relationship, but it's a little bit of a role reversal now.

"In this case, it's a matter of Aaron seeing where David is going. Aaron feels he's the one who has to have his head straight and try to bring some mediation to the whole situation.

"Aaron seems like the reasonable one, who still thinks things are going to be okay. But David questions him: 'Don't you really care? Why aren't you upset? Why aren't you punching someone? Why aren't you willing to go and jump on a plane with me to visit Nicolette's family and try to find her?'

"David wonders why Aaron isn't willing to go to the same lengths as him and that creates a tension."

Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, August 23 and Tuesday, August 24 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
