As Toadie organises Elly's release from jail, Elly finds herself in a dangerous tussle, orchestrated by Andrea.
Things escalate fast, but thankfully the fight is stopped by a prison officer who has come to report Elly's release. How will Elly react to her new reality, learning the truth about Claudia and Shaun?
Meanwhile, Karl realises he has been kept in the dark about Claudia's attempted escape. He is hurt that Susan never called to fill him in and later, when the dust has settled, Karl takes Susan aside and vents his frustrations. Susan defends herself and the pair butt heads, leading to a tense fight that splinters the couple apart even further. Karl turns to someone else for comfort.
Elsewhere, relief abounds as Aster is returned safely by Shaun. Claudia turns herself in to the police and soon after, realises the weight of her crimes. She calls Sam for help but is rebuffed, as Sam doesn't want to be dragged down with her as well. Later, the Kennedy women confront Claudia about what she has put them through. It looks like Claudia is finally getting what she deserves.
