Claudia's offer to get David and Aaron a child via adoption hangs and Aaron seems to be considering it. However, it's all a ruse – Aaron reports the bribery attempt to Susan, Bea, David and Chloe.
This is more evidence Claudia is dodgy. They decide to gather the evidence they need to take her down. Claudia begins to panic and takes drastic action to evade the trouble she feels coming her way.
Meanwhile, Toadie is stressed while he waits for news about Elly's appeal. Dee offers support but Toadie explains there's nothing left to do. He's distraught by Elly's desperation and wants an answer for her. Dee leaves him to work at the hospital and there she sees Karl and his new friend, Olivia. Despite the turmoil the Kennedys are facing at home, Dee notes that Olivia seems to brighten Karl's mood.
Elsewhere, Toadie receives the court's decision about the appeal and delivers the shocking news to Elly. Elly struggles to deal with the news while navigating Andrea's increasing threats and makes a dangerous decision to start defending herself.
