As the gale begins to blow, Finn becomes aware that Gary is suspicious of his behaviour.
Eager to escape the danger of discovery, Finn calls Harry to arrange a cabin where he can go with Elly once they get off the island, but soon after this, all phone reception is knocked out by the gale.
Night falls, and Chloe finds a moment alone with Finn to urge him not to go away with Elly. Realising she knows about his secret feelings, he is rattled and snaps at her – desperate for her to mind her own business. She does so and his closeness to Elly builds as he comforts Aster during the wild weather.
The following morning, Hendrix turns up at camp and is shocked to learn Harlow never arrived – she's missing! With no phone reception and the radio on the boat damaged, search parties head out to look for Harlow. Finn heads out as well, determined to make sure no one accidentally finds Bea.
Finn initially begs Elly to leave the island, as they can raise the alarm and then find Bea in Sydney. But when Finn learns that a suspicious Gary went out into the bush looking in the direction of the mine, he changes tack, heading out after Gary. How will Finn stop anyone finding the mine?
