As Pierce pulls Hendrix from the crashed car, Roxy is horrified to realise Harlow is beneath the collapsed tent. Distraught, Roxy manages to free Harlow, who is taken to the hospital to rule out serious injury. This leads to a brief ceasefire between the girls as Harlow thanks Roxy for caring about her.

Pierce takes Hendrix to task for stealing his car, injuring Harlow and crashing his event. Hendrix shrugs it off with signature nonchalance, so Pierce fiercely suggests he dob him into the police. Confronted, Hendrix sobers right up, fearing Pierce will come good on his word.

However, when Paul accosts Hendrix for the reckless behaviour that endangered his granddaughter, Pierce covers by saying he asked Hendrix to park his car – if anyone is to blame for this, it's him. Thrown that Pierce has protected him, Hendrix sees how seriously he messed up and heads over to Number 22 to apologise to Harlow. However, the apology is half-hearted, accompanied by a discount bouquet of flowers.

Unimpressed, Harlow tells Hendrix to mean his apologies when he says them and dumps the bouquet in the bin, which Roxy promptly liberates for herself. Harlow is annoyed by the lack of family loyalty and it's back to squabbling between the pair. Hendrix follows through on Harlow's advice and sincerely apologises to Pierce. Privately, Pierce hopes this is the beginning of a real connection with his wayward son.

Meanwhile, David is buzzing when Beverly tells him he's in the running to present his Finn study at a prestigious medical conference – at her request. Keen to secure this opportunity, David invites Beverly and Clive over to dinner. Aaron is happy to play host for his hubby, but when an upset Sheila hears of their dinner plans, she tries to recruit Aaron to spy on Clive and his new girlfriend.

Aaron awkwardly plays along with no real intention of giving Sheila any intel, but at the dinner, Aaron ignores Sheila and she gets tetchy waiting on the side lines. Much to Aaron's horror, Shelia shows up and settles in for the night. When Aaron tries to get her to leave, she calls him out at his terrible spy work – she wouldn't have to come over if he'd fed her the info she asked for.

Angry and embarrassed after she gives Beverly a serve, Clive marches a humiliated Sheila home, furious that she has handled their break-up so badly. But as they argue, the tension turns romantic, and Sheila is thrown when Clive kisses her. As Sheila catches her breath, she has to wonder – what does this mean for their relationship?
