Next week on Neighbours, one resident's life is on the line, a family receives some worrying news, and someone ends up with red wine all over their face.

Here are 10 storylines from the week to look forward to.

1. Mackenzie can't forgive Shane

After hearing the truth about Shane's involvement in her family problems, Mackenzie is devastated and doesn't think she will ever be able to forgive him. She even has a falling out with Yashvi, who makes the situation too much about her own life and family.

Dipi offers Mackenzie a sympathetic ear and assures her that Shane is a completely different person now compared to who he used to be. Mackenzie hears her out, but has no plans to see Shane again any time soon.

As for Shane, following on from hearing how disappointed his own daughter is in him, he hits rock bottom. Will he ever be able to make things okay?

2. Scarlett shows how dangerous she is

Scarlett ups her game to break up Ned and Yashvi – and Bea ends up caught in the crossfire. After learning about the issues the two had when it came to Ned being protective of Bea, Scarlett decides to make the problem resurface again by causing her to have an electric shock while performing, fraying the microphone lead.

The plan works and Bea's hand is fused to the lead by the electric current. Ned manages to intervene, but Bea is left unconscious on the ground.

3. Bea's life is on the line

Bea is rushed to hospital following the accident and Elly rushes back to Erinsborough to be by her side. Thankfully Bea wakes up, but is alarmed to hear what caused the shock when she knows how careful she always is with her equipment.

Later, Bea suffers chest pains and David has to tell her that she has heart arrhythmia and will need ongoing treatment and medication. Scarlett immediately begins to feel guilty as she didn't expect any repercussions, but her overly nice behaviour concerns Bea. Will she be the one to figure out what Scarlett is up to?

4. Ned and Yashvi's relationship hits the rocks

Scarlett's plan to drive a wedge between Ned and Yashvi is starting to work, with her knowing exactly what buttons to push to cause problems. After the incident with Bea, she makes sure that Yashvi knows how concerned Ned was and plays down how serious it was.

When Yashvi confronts Ned and calls him out for it, he doesn't realise she doesn't know the full story and blasts her for being so selfish. When she does hear how serious it was from Dipi, she tries to make things right. For Ned though, it's too late – he thinks they need a break from each other.

5. David digs for dirt on Shaun

Elly and Shaun begin growing closer when he cares for her while she is worrying about Bea, but he soon learns that suggesting a romantic relationship was not the right move. Elly confides in David and Aaron about it and David uses the moment to voice his concerns about Shaun.

Later, he seizes an opportunity to snoop through Shaun's things and finds the evidence he was looking for – custody papers. He immediately tells Elly who confronts Shaun, only to find out the papers were his mother's doing and he has no intention of going ahead with it. A sheepish David is left with no choice but to apologise.

6. Roxy's wild side proves difficult for Mark

Attempting to have a normal relationship is already proving difficult for Mark and Roxy, with it being clear that the two are very different people. While having breakfast at The Waterhole, Roxy tries to make Mark down his drink and stands on the pool table, causing a scene as a way of making him comply.

Sheila offers Roxy some advice – she should tone it down if she wants to make the relationship work. Roxy takes this too far and the next time Mark sees her, she has a whole new conservative look. But a drunken Mark lashes out, telling Roxy to stop trying so hard as he could never have a real relationship with her. It seems this romance, that was doomed to fail, has fallen apart already.

7. Sheila and Beverly come to blows

At the wine tasting event at The 82, Gary has persuaded Sheila to stop wallowing at home about her recently-single status and to come along to have a good time. She hears his advice and gets dressed up.

Before she can enjoy herself, Sheila bumps into Clive, who is there with his new girlfriend Beverly Robinson. Things don't go well when Beverly accidentally bumps into her and Sheila assumes it was deliberate, responding by throwing a glass of red wine in her face.

8. Roxy ends her relationship with Mark

Mark has pushed his luck with Roxy one too many times. Following his drunken outburst and subsequent apology, Sheila and Harlow persuade Roxy that her dignity is more important than her relationship.

Roxy tells Mark that what they had is over and she has no plans on letting him back into her life again. Is this really the end for them?

9. Pierce stands his ground with Hendrix

Pierce has a deal to make with his troublesome son Hendrix, who really doesn't want to go back to school. He's told that if he can secure himself a decent job, then he will be free to pursue that and won't be forced to enrol at Erinsborough High.

It doesn't take long for reality to hit home for Hendrix and he is forced to concede that he does need an education. But he looks down at the local school and insists that he won't be going there.

Pierce has had enough and insists that it isn't Hendrix's decision – whether he likes it or not, he will be going to Erinsborough High.

10. The Brennan family receive worrying news

Fresh from his break up with Roxy and dealing with the fallout of his reckless alcohol-fuelled lifestyle of the past few weeks, Mark has a sit down with Chloe about his life. After everything that has happened to him, he's feeling disillusioned and doesn't know what he wants anymore.

While this realisation is the breakthrough his siblings had been hoping for so he can start to mend, the moment is cut short by a phone call from Tyler. A deteriorating Fay has gone missing.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
