Episode 8063 | Airs Wednesday 20 March 2019 at 13:45 and 17:30 on Channel 5 (UK) and 18:30 on 10 Peach (Australia)
Elly is struggling to come to terms with being rejected and ignored by Mark. She stumbles home after a big night. Waking up a little worse for wear, she is surprised to be approached by somebody who does want to hear her side of the story – Fay. Elly relays how hurt and embarrassed she’d been by Mark’s recent distance, which culminated in him disappearing and telling her the wedding was off. Fay understands. She’s been in a similar situation as Elly and her advice is to carefully consider what she wants.
Having already decided that she still wants to build a future with Mark, Elly finally convinces him to hear her out. Telling him she’ll do anything to bring them back together, Elly is crushed when he responds bluntly, saying he wants an annulment. But a shock revelation could turn that decision on its head: secretly, Elly takes a pregnancy test and it’s positive.
Meanwhile, Mark wants nothing to do with Chloe or Aaron but Fay begins to take pity on Chloe, regretting her outburst. She finds her daughter at work and apologises for slapping her. Chloe forgives her, happy to have somebody to support her.
Learning that Aaron is still caught in the crossfire, Chloe resolves to make at least one thing right. Confronting Mark, she implores him to hate her if he wants to, but to stop punishing Aaron. Taking this on board, Mark tracks Aaron and the brothers make amends, which Chloe clocks from afar. She’s happy to see the thaw, but it’s only small comfort as she walks away alone.
Elsewhere, Piper and Leo wake up feeling uncertain about their hook up, but neither is ready to talk about it. Piper escapes to work but she can’t escape a visit from Terese, which is incredibly tense. Piper is guilty about the night she just spent with Leo. Her growing sense of loneliness is further stoked by missing Xanthe and hearing from Fay how well Tyler is doing without her.
At the same time, Leo is still angry at Terese and Paul for betraying him and is galled to have to prepare his apology for Mrs Punt. Leo and Piper regroup and once Piper has discovered that Leo wasn’t motivated by revenge, they agree that their night together was fun but their friendship is too important to lose so it’s best they don’t take things further. They remain supportive mates for now, but will it stay this way?
