Following Lucas's confession about his gambling problems, Elle cancels their trip to Europe and demands to know about how long he's been struggling with his gambling addiction. She then demands Dan come over to show her the footage while informing Toadie she has something to show him. When Elle shows Toadie and Steph the still image Dan has captured from the footage, Steph admits she knows Johnno and also about Lucas's gambling problem, leaving Elle devastated at Lucas's betrayal. Later, Lucas tries to explain things to Elle but she is hurt that he confided in Steph instead of her and tells Lucas to pack his things and move out.
After viewing the footage that clears her of any wrongdoing, Steph is shocked to learn that Lucas got hold of the security footage yesterday but didn't tell her. With Toadie having alerted the police to the footage, he tells Steph that Declan will no longer be able to pursue suing her and she'll get to keep her house.
Meanwhile, as Lucas confides in Steph that he's struggling with his guilt over Bridget's death, Elle prepares an article naming Lucas as the person responsible for the Parkers' accident.
Kate is worried that Callum may have developed a crush on her and tells Toadie of her suspicions. When Toadie asks Callum about his feelings towards Kate, he says that he doesn't have a crush on her but sees her more as a mother figure instead.
Meanwhile, Donna talks to Karl and admits that she is thinking of looking for her biological father and Karl tells her to follow her instincts. Later, Donna sets about recording a message to be posted on the internet as she decides to go ahead with her mission to find her father.
