While Dan is reviewing the footage from Grease Monkeys' surveillance cameras of Johnno hanging around the Parkers' car, Elle is trying to talk Lucas into going away on holiday with her. With Lucas ignoring Dan's calls, he decides to go across the road and interrupt Lucas and Elle's intimate evening alone to show him the footage.
Viewing the security footage, Lucas isn't convinced that it proves Johnno was the one to actually tamper with the Parkers' car but Dan is adamant that Johnno was responsible and believes Lucas knows it to be the case, too. Dan wants to take the footage to the police but Lucas isn't so sure and believes that this proves he was responsible for Bridget's death. Dan tries to reassure his brother that it proves Johnno was responsible, but Lucas isn't convinced.
The next day, Lucas agrees to Elle's idea for a holiday in Europe and tells her to book the tickets. Elle questions the motivation behind Lucas's change of heart, but he insists he just needed some time to realise that it was a good idea.
Later at Harold's Store, Libby and Elle bump into each other where Elle reveals she and Lucas are off to Europe later that evening. Libby thinks Lucas should stay back to support Steph in her case, but Elle says Lucas is planning on preparing an affidavit to support Steph. Believing that this was behind Dan's emergency trip to Lucas's the night before, Libby confronts her husband about Lucas and Elle's travel plans. Dan confronts Lucas and begs him not to leave. Later, as they're preparing to leave for the airport, Lucas tells Elle there's something he needs to tell her. Will Lucas come clean about his gambling debts and risk losing Elle forever?
