Mackenzie tells the full truth to Mali – she slept with Levi, but she can't take being the other woman. Mali is determined to support her, and insists she get some fresh air.

They run into Rose at the beach, and Mackenzie gives the couple space, but they cannot make peace. Rose is too busy with her new job to give Mali time, but he quickly puts his foot in it by claiming that she can't be too busy if she's out getting a coffee.

After an abrupt parting, Rose later meets Mali to finish their conversation. She's confused why he is showing such concern for Mackenzie. Mali wishes he could tell Rose the whole truth, but he can't. That's when Mackenzie interrupts, asking for a ride home. Mali accepts, and Rose can't understand why she's not his priority. Back at home, Mackenzie implores him to spend time with his girlfriend, but he declines – one crisis at a time.

Justin explains after having dinner together last week, he thought that he and Leah were in a better place. But Irene insists that he can't spend hours at the Diner just waiting for her. Justin departs, but can't help but swing by Alf's, where Leah is staying. He knocks, and when no one answers he takes a seat at the door – he's prepared to wait for as long as it takes.
