Dana actions her plan to get John reinstated, inviting Banjo to a meeting at the Diner. Banjo admits that he complained about John, but it soon becomes clear to Dana that he's under the impression they're on a date. Feeling badly, she sets him straight – she invited him to talk about John Palmer and wants to know whether he'd consider withdrawing his complaint.
Banjo's ego is bruised but Dana eventually gets through to him. Banjo fills her in – he already asked his dad to withdraw the complaint after John apologised. He won't do it.
Mali has been run off his feet all day to cover John's absence at the Juice Bar, but Alf declines when he offers his services the following day. Dana feeds him her intel on Banjo and the Hendersons, leaving the Surf Club President stuck in a tight spot.
