Justin is given a big surprise when his teenage daughter Ava arrives. She had a fight with her mum and caught the bus up. After the shock has worn off on Justin, he calls her mother and although she's upset that Ava ran away, the two agree she can stay.
It's clear Ava has been pushing the boundaries with her mother as Justin asks about the boy she has been talking to online. Theo and Kirby come in to defend Ava and it's clear she's a massive fan of the band – and Theo in particular.
Meanwhile, a quick trip to the storage cupboard at Salt to get a nip of rum perks Felicity back up. However, Gabe's presence and his pointed comments put her on the defensive. As the band starts to play, Felicity's drinking catches up with her and her behaviour becomes so bad that Gabe is forced to cut her off. Felicity storms off, pulling the plug on the band as she leaves.

Pushing away Mackenzie and stealing a bottle from Remi, Felicity finds herself drinking alone at the fireplace at the caravan park. But staring into the fire brings back her PTSD from the accident. Confronted, she hits the bottle even more.
Elsewhere, following Remi's outburst, Xander sets him straight – it was Jacob's funeral yesterday and he was supporting Bree. Remi feels terrible hearing this, but still feels Xander's relationship with her isn't platonic. Xander returns home to find Bree, even more anxious now and wanting to fix things with Remi.
Neither Remi nor Bree wants to watch Lyrik perform, but they're guilted by friends. Remi is quietly enjoying himself and when Bree arrives, he's momentarily happy until Xander walks in behind her. It's too much for him and he leaves.
Bree follows Remi down to apologise – it shouldn't be him who has to leave his own band's gig. Remi says that he can't stand being this close to the band and her and not able to have either. He tells her he's leaving Summer Bay.
