Home and Away spoilers follow for Australian and UK viewers.

Home and Away fans will be left on the edge of their seats if a new promo is anything to go by. In upcoming episodes, viewers will see Ari Parata (Rob Kipa-Williams) being rushed to hospital.

He's currently in prison after falsely confessing to murder when he starts experiencing stabbing pains in his abdomen and Mia is overcome with worry when she receives a call from the prison to tell her that Ari has been rushed to hospital, TV Week reports.

Now, a new promo casts doubt on whether Ari will survive his ordeal or not.

The voiceover to the clip, narrated by Ari's stepdaughter-to-be Chloe Anderson, says: "Mum and Ari are supposed to get the rest of their lives together, but they won't," as Ari is shown being wheeled in on a stretcher, visibly in pain.

What to Read Next

Ari is initially diagnosed with appendicitis, but unfortunately his pain just keeps getting worse and Doctor Logan begins to worry that his initial diagnosis hasn't revealed the full picture of Ari's condition.

After Logan decides to conduct more tests on Ari to find out what's really going on, Mia starts to panic. While Logan reassures her that Ari will be fine, it's clear that he's actually concerned about what could be going on.

The rest of the short promo consists of scenes of Ari's family becoming upset as a doctor updates them on Ari's condition, and also shows Ari in a hospital bed with fiancée Mia laying with her head on his chest.

Will Ari make it through this health crisis or is more bad news on the cards for his friends and family?

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia). Selected classic episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
