While looking for Colby, Angelo stumbles upon Bella. His words of encouragement about finding her father's killer rattle her cage and she begins to panic, as this could mean a future behind bars for all of them. Colby meets with Angelo, trying his best to convince him of the story they've all mutually manufactured.
Later that night, the nightmares come back and Colby continues to replay the final moments of Ross's life over and over. Bella worries for her brother but Colby arrives at his place of work the next morning, confident his strategies will outsmart the lead detective on the case.
Meanwhile, Justin is still sceptical of Tori accepting Jasmine back into their life so quickly. Irene offers to make dinner for Jasmine to honour her wedding anniversary. In her growth, Jasmine offers up an album full of photos of Grace, which she kept hidden from Tori. She hopes the peace offering will prove to Tori how much she's willing to move forward.
Elsewhere, John's controlling attitude is beginning to get on everyone's nerves. When he goes over the books, he again questions Alf's running of the Surf Club in his absence, and holds Alf hostage for the day to go over all the paperwork.
Roo is finally forced to come in to rescue her dad from John's incessant micro-managing. Despite John's ways, both Roo and Alf reluctantly agree it's a positive sign to see John's old personality returning.
