Leah takes the courageous step of making a statement to the police. Justin sits by her side, his breath catching in fear of what he's about to hear. Leah explains that Douglas seemed to have targeted her in retaliation for how her website empowered his ex-wife to leave him.
This checks out with McCarthy's investigation and Leah's statement will help to make sure Douglas is locked away. Afterwards, Leah breaks down in Justin's arms but there's hope the process has been cathartic.
Meanwhile, Ari goes on the attack, suspecting Dean of revealing his past to John. Dean shuts down the accusation straight away and suggests Ari takes a different tact – while John is insufferable, he's also just a man who's trying to protect his family. It's a position Ari can empathise with and he reaches out to John.

Also today, despite their best efforts to make things work, Alex accepts before Willow can that they want different things. They spend one last night together, and Willow wakes to find Alex already gone, a loving note of farewell left in her wake. Willow's miserable.
