Justin is initially invigorated by the post on Leah's website, as finally the police have new information to act on. It's a short-lived relief as he's left waiting for news for hours. The dismay hits him tenfold when the police reveal they've spoken to Leah and she insists that she's fine. Leah has said that she left the Bay, and Justin, by choice.
Justin refuses to give up and takes the reckless action of posting on Leah's website, promising he'll never give up until he hears from Leah herself that she's okay.
Meanwhile, Willow spends a sleepless night worrying about Alex's proposal to buy a house together. It remains a sticking point between the couple, as Alex takes Willow's concerns as a sign Willow doesn't want to commit.
The stakes are beginning to feel very high for Alex who feels she's been transparent about wanting an enduring and committed relationship from the start. Willow hates to hurt Alex but can't make promises she's not sure she can keep. Alex makes the heart-breaking decision to leave the Bay without Willow.
