Zoe Ventoura's husband Daniel MacPherson has weighed in on the latest controversy involving her Home and Away character Alex.
The Australian soap was recently guilty of leaving a 'Willex' (that's Willow and Alex) same-sex kissing scene on the cutting room floor, which soon invited criticism from fans on social media. Daniel is now taking a stand in this ongoing representation conversation.

In several quick-succession tweets posted today (January 31), the former Neighbours star retweeted a lengthy fan post dedicated to highlighting the soap's decision.
He wrote: "Powerful honest words Phoebe. Thanks for sharing. #willex," before quickly adding: "Great piece with a correct sense of foreboding of what was to come. What a shame for viewers so excited to see themselves represented in a wonderful relationship on TV."

But Daniel wasn't done yet.
He later retweeted an article on the subject, writing: "Obviously for many reasons I'm closer to this than most so I'm just gonna say this : Thoughts tonight with fans of this show left feeling that the demonstration of their love or affection isn't worthy of broadcast [sic]."
He then added: "Well done ZV & SR on your beautiful work. #Willex."
Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia).
