Ryder catches up with Blake and they talk about how stressful exam period is. However, Blake and his mates plan to cheat in the exams and Ryder is shocked. Blake explains how stressed he is about the upcoming history exam and the pressure to pass. He details his plan to cheat, and seeing as History is Ryder's forte, they can swap papers with him. Ryder is gobsmacked, but Blake asks him to at least think about it – they could really use a brain like him in their cheat squad.
The next day, Ryder meets Blake and his mates for a surf and they ask him whether he's going to come through for them and hand around his paper in the modern history exam. Ryder isn't sure about the cheating idea, but Blake pressures him into a surf before they can discuss it further. Post surf, Ryder tells Blake he doesn't want to be part of the cheating group. He's interrupted when Blake receives a call from his dad. Blake lies, telling him he's at the library and has a study plan for the History exam.
Ryder learns Blake's dad has put pressure on him to succeed in the exams and become a lawyer, and Blake is sure his dad will kill him if he fails. Later, Blake reveals to Ryder that the other boys got caught by Mrs Astoni swapping exam papers so the whole cheating deal is off, leaving Ryder secretly relieved.

Ryder suggests helping Blake study, but Blake thinks it's too late, as no amount of cramming is going to stop his dad coming down on him. Blake has formed another plan to cheat in the exams – by drugging the exam supervisor with sleeping pills, and this time they won't get caught.
Meanwhile, Justin and Leah decide to get out of town and take Ava on a camping trip to distract her from Nina's divorce with Brian. Justin is unsure whether or not bringing Ava into the bush was a good idea, but Leah assures him this is just what she needs.
After a good time, Ava starts to open up about the divorce and not wanting to choose sides. Justin reassures Ava that he will talk to Nina and Brian for her, and she feels much better for having her dad in her corner. Justin thanks Leah for being in his corner too, and the family head home after a successful camping trip.
Elsewhere, Robbo has phoned Des to inform him that he has what he's been looking for – Dylan Carter. Robbo knows this will never be over until Des gets what he wants, so he's ready to strike a deal. However, Robbo is only willing to deal with Victor. Carter is revealed to be sitting next to Robbo, handcuffed to the truck, knowing he is Robbo's only leverage.
The next day, as they wait for Des's move, Dylan is trying to make buddies with Robbo who couldn't be less interested, telling him to keep his mouth shut. Robbo continues the stakeout with Dylan when they get a text from Des wanting to meet.
Robbo and Dylan arrive at an industrial site. Robbo's gun is drawn and Dylan is still handcuffed. Both unsure how this is going to go down, Robbo and Dylan prepare to meet Des.
