Home and Away star Jackson Heywood has opened up about leaving the show, describing it as "bittersweet".
Jackson will be exiting his role as Brody Morgan this week in Australia, and it appears that the character will be departing Summer Bay with Simone Bedford, played by Emily Eskell, in a double exit storyline.

"It's a bit bittersweet, but I'm okay with it," he told TV Week. "The good thing about acting is that jobs come to an end. It's always varying and you can look forward to another chapter.
"I got everything I wanted from the show [as an actor]. It gave me good foundations to hone my craft. Time-wise with this show, you're in a huge pressure cooker, so that's been a big learning curve.
"It's a lovely industry, but it's also exhausting because it's so non-stop."
Jackson added that he "felt fulfilled creatively" filming Brody's drug addiction storyline, and said that he hopes to continue working and even write and "get a film into production in the next year".
Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia).
