We see a day in the life of teens Peri, Yasmine and Lily, alongside their mums and guardians Leela, Misbah and Diane, when rumours of self-harming circulate in their lives.

When Hollyoaks High headteacher Mrs St Claire reads Yasmine's article about self-harm, she is immediately suspicious that one of the three girls is the subject of the article. As a result, she calls Leela, Misbah and Diane into the school, leaving Lily terrified of what will happen when the truth comes out.

Leela, Misbah and Diane all refuse to believe that it's their girl who is doing this, and Peri ultimately covers for Lily by telling Mrs St Claire that the article is fictional.

While the women bury their heads in the sand, the self-harming secret remains hidden and only serves to bring the teenage girls closer together.
