The singer and actor was reportedly rushed to Charing Cross Hospital by ambulance on Saturday (June 25) after suffering complications following his recent emergency surgery.

James underwent another operation on Sunday and is now thought to be recovering, with his Blue bandmates all expected to visit him this week.

"We are all concerned for Duncan's health and wellbeing at this time, but he is in good hands and has a great medical team around him," a spokesperson for the star told Huffington Post UK.

James had been due to start filming at Hollyoaks this week in his new role as Amy Barnes's partner Ryan Knight, but these scenes have now been postponed.

Producers at the soap had already delayed his debut by one week to give him time to recover following his previous operation.

James underwent emergency surgery earlier this month after suffering from a prolapsed herniated disc in his back, but he announced that he'd been discharged from hospital on Thursday (June 23).

Digital Spy has reached out to representatives for James and Hollyoaks for further comment.
