Hollyoaks star Cameron Moore is fearing the wrath of fans following the shock death of Ziggy Roscoe.
The actor's character Cameron Campbell was inadvertently responsible for Ziggy's demise when he made an evil attempt to kill Leela Lomax in her new home this week.
When Ziggy (Fabrizio Santino) rushed to Leela's rescue, he suffered a head injury in a huge explosion caused by Cameron. This ultimately proved fatal when he passed away suddenly at The Dog in Hollyoaks' hour-long Christmas special.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy about his role in the shock storyline, Moore laughed: "I am expecting a massive backlash. I was absolutely gutted about Fab leaving, especially when I found out it'd be Cameron's fault!
"Even though I am expecting a backlash, I'm not too bothered about that - it's more sadness that I won't get to see Fab every day. It's a real shame, but I guess someone had to do it. I don't think the reaction will make for a very pleasant Christmas, will it? I'll have to log off until it dies down!"
Cameron may also infuriate another set of fans over the festive period when he holds his own brother Lockie (Nick Rhys) captive in an abandoned shack, needing to keep him quiet about who caused the explosion.

Teasing the huge scenes to come, Moore continued: "It's the first time that the Campbell brothers have clashed in such a dramatic way. Filming these scenes was great because the shack is not a usual Hollyoaks location, which makes a difference when you're performing.
"Cameron really is just making it up as he goes along. He's buying himself time and just keeping Lockie locked up and shut up, until he knows what to do next.
"The story goes on for a while, so it's not just a quick couple of episodes. It's good, as you see a real change in Lockie and it gets quite fraught and dramatic towards the end. Nick was great in the scenes - he's a cracking actor."
