Everyone rallies around an injured JJ, but Nancy wants to get to the bottom of what's upsetting Frankie. Feeling like she can't tell the truth about what's really going on, Frankie promises her stepmum she'll try to make things easier at home.
Nancy discovers Frankie dancing in the school hall and realises it's her outlet. Wanting to keep the truth a secret, JJ manipulates Suzanne, telling her that he found a note in Frankie's diary about wanting to destroy his career. This leaves Suzanne angry at Frankie.
Meanwhile, John Paul is surprised to find Tom and Sally on the sofa together after a heavy night, which they both insist was innocent. John Paul shares his concerns with Sally over her reckless behaviour after her recent hospital stay.

At school Carter has stern words with Sally regarding her position at work, reminding her that she's no longer a teacher. Sally fights back, telling Carter that she wants more than just being an accountant. The conversation gets heated. John Paul overhears and arrives just as Sally collapses.
Elsewhere, after some persuasion, Ethan surprises Dilly by offering her a job but regrets it when he realises Prince only wants her to have it because he fancies her. The plan backfires when Ethan tells him he can't date his co-workers.
