Hollyoaks has aired an arrest for Romeo Nightingale as he tried to escape the country.
It was revealed last week that Romeo was responsible for the accidental death of girlfriend Rayne Royce, with the influencer dying after getting into a scuffle by the pool.

It was later revealed that his father James was behind the abduction in a bid to have him escape, and tonight's (January 11) first-look episode began as the pair tried to enact their plan.
Romeo, however, was less sure of the scheme, proclaiming that his friends didn’t deserve to be left in the dark regarding his whereabouts. James, with his solicitor's cap on, disagreed and told his son to prioritise his own life.
Romeo called Peri to say goodbye before James returned with a passport, with the pair sharing a tearful farewell as Romeo remarked that James had been a great father despite some hiccups.
He ignored his father's advice of heading straight to the airport, instead meeting Peri in the village for a tearful goodbye.

It would prove to be a mistake with disastrous consequences, as it was revealed that the police had arranged for Peri to trap Romeo.
She continually apologised as Romeo was cuffed and shoved into the back of a police car by Zoe, with James and Hunter looking shocked as they witnessed the event.
