Spoilers for Hollyoaks follow.
Hollyoaks' Warren Fox has tragically revealed to his best mate Felix Westwood that he's only got months to live due to the liver damage.
Warren (Jamie Lomas) began the episode outside a coffee shop with Felix (Richard Blackwood). Warren and Felix were interrupted by Warren's mother Norma (Glynis Barber), with Felix demanding an apology from her for his past experiences in an abusive care home. Norma refused.
Warren advised Felix to let it go, but he couldn’t. Later, Felix told Norma that she abandoned Warren with a “racist psycho.” Again, Warren tried to get Felix to drop it, but he couldn’t.

"Leave Felix to me, will you?" Warren asked his mother. But Norma had her own plans and they didn’t involve listening to the pleas of her son. She told a contact over the phone: "I need you to do what you do best. Exactly, a beating. The sort that no man can ignore. The target is Felix Westwood."

Warren and Felix then shared a drink, but Norma again interrupted, telling her son they have "business to take care of". She tried to change the conversation to Councillor Valmont, but Warren sussed out that Norma had a plan for Felix.
Norma’s phone went off but Warren was quickest to it, reading a text from a contact named Bob confirming the plan to beat Felix. In the ensuing argument between Warren and Norma, Warren doubled over in pain. Norma asked if he was okay and Warren said he will be when Norma cancels the plan against Felix. Norma reluctantly agreed to "postpone Felix’s warning."

Felix returned to sit with Warren but before they could even talk, Warren again doubled over in agony — and this time, he coughed up blood. Later, Warren stewed alone while looking for Felix and recalled a conversation he had with his doctor.
"I’ve been looking at the tests from after your fall, as well as before," the doctor said. "It’s quite clear, due to the excess of painkillers and supplements you’ve taken, there has been a significant amount of damage to the liver. There are serious complications."
Felix tried to talk to Warren about what’s going on with him, pressing him about speaking to doctors. He told him: "It’s me, you have to talk to me."

A heartbroken Warren told Felix: "I’m dying bro. That’s what Misbah said to me."
He continued: "You think I’m going to let them prod me and poke me? It’s not going to change a thing. My liver has packed in, alright? Misbah said I’ll be lucky if I’ve got months to live." And that is where the emotional episode ended.
