Hollyoaks' Felix Westwood faces new setback in murder story

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks aired a new setback for DeMarcus' case tonight as Felix and Scott found new evidence.

Previously, DeMarcus was arrested after being wrongly accused of murdering Saul. In the latest E4 episode, Felix and Scott thought they had found the evidence they needed to connect the real culprit, Joseph, to Saul's murder which would free Felix's son and get Joseph out of Vicky's life forever.

The episode began as Scott and Maxine discovered that Vicky might be engaged to Joseph and the pair planned to put a stop to their relationship for good.

When Scott showed Zoe the picture of Vicky's engagement ring she instantly recognised it as Saul's.

"That is a dead man's ring. Joseph didn't get that from his mum, it belonged to Saul," revealed Zoe.

Later, Maxine confronted Vicky for being engaged but soon learnt that it wasn't true and that Joseph had given the ring to her weeks ago but took it away for resizing – "it was just a commitment ring and didn't fit anyway," said Vicky.

After finding out about the ring, Felix and Scott broke into Joseph's family home where they were met by his mum Gill who thought they were there to view the place.

Posing as newlyweds, the duo found a hidden secret phone in Joseph's room. "Why would he hide it, I think there's something incriminating on here," said Felix.

Zoe said she wouldn't let them use the new evidence against Joseph as it was obtained illegally and, as she had shared facts about the case with them, she would get kicked off the force.

Elsewhere, John Paul debated whether to come clean to Goldie about breaking her sculpture of Sylver and Theresa feared he was drinking again.

Also in tonight's episode Yazz let Peri know where her loyalty lies, and Juliet overheard Yazz say she wants nothing to do with her.

Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
