Hollyoaks has shed some light on PC Saul Reeves' death, revealing the identity of his attacker.
Earlier this week, Saul (Chris Charles) was stabbed by an unidentified person. DeMarcus Westwood (Tomi Ade) was arrested after being caught on camera with a knife at the time the officer was searching the school.
In tonight's (July 21) episode, DeMarcus learned about Saul's death, meaning that he would be potentially charged with murder. As the knife was still missing, Saul's testimony would have been crucial in proving DeMarcus' innocence.
"What are you gonna do? The police already think I'm guilty," he said in despair.

Felix (Richard Blackwood) hired Verity Hutchinson (Eva O'Hara) as DeMarcus' lawyer. The two started to work on his case right away, with Verity maintaining that whoever had the knife was the culprit.
Later on, it was revealed that DeMarcus had told the truth about handing over his knife to Saul.
"Only cowards carry knives, and I'm not a coward," he can be heard saying in a flashback.
"Look, I didn't mean to be so harsh with you earlier. You're a young, Black man in a mostly white town. I worry about you the most," Saul told the boy.

After DeMarcus left, Saul noticed Joseph Holmes (Olly Rhodes) recording the incriminating video on his phone, hidden under the playground's slide. When the officer confiscated the phone, Joseph threatened to get his dad involved before pushing Saul, the knife falling out of his pocket.
The two tussled, with the PC about to handcuff the boy and arrest him for assault. Joseph then grabbed the knife that was on the ground and stabbed Saul with it, before fleeing the scene.
