Hollyoaks' Nikki Sanderson has touched upon her romance with former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale actor Anthony Quinlan, calling him "wonderful".
Anthony confirmed he was in a relationship with his fellow soap star last month, revealing they had been friends for years before things turned romantic last year.
Speaking to the Mirror about their romance, the Maxine Minniver actress said: "You know what, we are very happy and like you said, we are quite private so I won't talk too much about it, but we are very happy.

Anthony – who played Gilly Roach on Hollyoaks and Pete Barton on Emmerdale – previously addressed their pairing to The Sun, saying at the time: "We've known each other for years. There were rumours we met at the gym, which we had a bit of a laugh about."
He also revealed that they got together as a couple after he slid into her DMs, noting: "I was lucky enough to get a date and the rest is history."
The actor added that he was "really, really happy" with their relationship, and called Nikki "a very special girl".
"She's lovely," Anthony said. "I'm happy that it is what it is and we haven't got everyone prying. She's very supportive, in many respects.
"She gets it because she's an actress and also in terms of the business because she's quite keen on health and fitness. She's mega. I can't say anymore – I'm just really happy." Aww!
Hollyoaks now streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
