Hollyoaks has confirmed the full details of John Paul's crash storyline.
Lives will be hanging in the balance when teacher John Paul McQueen makes the potentially fatal decision of getting behind the wheel of the school van even though he's not fit to drive.
Viewers have seen John Paul struggling with alcoholism in the run-up to a shocking week that begins with Sally stripping Nancy of her rights to go on the camping trip – instead giving the spot to Olivia.
Meanwhile, Prince is determined to become John Paul's confidant and keep him away from alcohol once he finds out why his relative has been battling with dependency.
The camping trip is still going ahead, as Mason Chen-Williams connects with his classmate Freya. John Paul is tense as he discovers a mini bottle of vodka in his pocket, tempting him to drink once again.
