Former Hollyoaks star Sarah Jayne Dunn has reflected on her year, including her exit from the long-running Channel 4 soap, in a new Instagram post.
Posting a professional black and white picture of herself in a gorgeous blazer while holding on to her chest, she wrote: "Be unapologetically you.
"This is the mantra I'm taking into 2022 and beyond. This year has been testing but I'm grateful for everything, I'm proud of myself for standing my ground, not being bullied and speaking my truth (mostly, where possible) and I'm so excited for the next chapter."
Dunn added: "Thank you so much for all your support, it never goes unnoticed and truly means the world. Wishing you all the happiest NYE and all the love and luck for the next year, I hope you stick with me for the ride, it's going to be fun!"

Dunn left Hollyoaks after a dispute about the adult streaming website OnlyFas, on which Dunn has an account. The Mandy Richardson actress met with Hollyoaks producers to discuss the situation but could not find a resolution to her desire to be on OnlyFans and the show.

A statement from the soap earlier this year said: "Hollyoaks is a youth-facing drama with many young viewers, who follow our cast very closely, both in the soap and outside of it. We take our responsibility to our young audience very seriously and therefore the show does not allow any Hollyoaks cast members to be active on certain 18+ websites."
"We had hoped we could reach a resolution with Sarah that would allow her to remain in her role as Mandy, but we respect her choice to continue to produce content on OnlyFans."

Dunn's decision to stay on OnlyFans she says was driven by "empowerment and confidence and having full power" as well as "being in control" of her own image.
Hollyoaks airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look screenings at 7pm on E4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
