Jorgie Porter, who plays Theresa McQueen on Hollyoaks, has opened up about her on-screen family losing ownership of The Dog and soon of their house.
The McQueens, who had been the owners of the pub for a few years, recently had to sell it to Diane (Alex Fletcher) and Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard).

This latest development will prompt Theresa to start a protest in front of the pub in an effort to avoid homelessness before Christmas.
While the McQueens did "outrageous things" before leaving The Dog, according to Jorgie, this time things will be different.
"[Theresa] is very bossy and demanding – Mercedes is away, so Theresa basically becomes their leader. Then the reality of it all sinks in, and it really pulls at your heartstrings," she said to Inside Soap.
The actress also described the whole thing as "really sad", adding: "No one deserves to be homeless, especially at Christmas."

But while her character is facing another potential loss, Jorgie is still mourning that of The Dog. "I loved that [the McQueens] ruled a little section of the village," she said about the family's time as pub landlords.
"At first, it was off to be that they were there, because the McQueens were always back in their family house. But the pub was great, and the Mc Queens got involved in everyone's business – to lose that was gutting.
"The McQueen family has all been through massive losses, but this is another level. It's as though no one is looking out for them."
