Hollyoaks' Ali Shahzad is about to face the police after Misbah Maalik reports him to authorities for sexually assaulting her.

Recent episodes of the Channel 4 soap have seen Misbah reconsider the events surrounding Shaq's conception, coming to the realisation that she'd not consented on that night so many years ago, and deciding to press charges.
In upcoming scenes, Sami Maalik and James Nightingale will team up to dig up some dirt on Ali, and it appears that they may have found something.
Meanwhile, Misbah is shocked to find out that Ali is being honoured by the hospital for his contributions to oncology, which will lead Shaq Qureshi to show up to the award ceremony riled up and publicly condemn Ali.
The following day, as the Maaliks are still coming to terms with the consequences of Shaq's outburst, Ali demands a public apology from him, threatening to report Shaq to the police for assault if he doesn't agree to his terms.
Fuelling the fire even further is a surprise visitor claiming Misbah is lying about her sexual assault allegations. But as she prepares to leave the village, Sami receives an email from another victim on Ali's named Gina (played by Grace Cookey-Gam).
Misbah decides to meet up with Gina, who tells her that seeing Shaq publicly condemn her assailant made her realise she wasn't alone. The two women open up to each other, as they have finally found someone who truly understands their experience.
Gina agrees to give a statement, but after a threatening encounter with a ghost from her past, she might be getting second thoughts about crossing Ali.
Misbah, however, goes ahead and makes a formal allegation against Ali to the police and her family rally around her while Ali is being questioned by DS Cohen.
Later on, Verity is frustrated at the system being geared towards men and she suggests they forge evidence to help Misbah's case and ensure a conviction for Ali.
While Sami refuses, Shaq is tempted by the proposition. Will they go through with it?
