Hollyoaks star Ruby O'Donnell has spoken out about a major theory surrounding her character Peri Lomax's involvement in the mystery wedding.
Last December, the Channel 4 soap's flashforward special episode offered fans an early glimpse of New Year's Eve 2020, leaving us with more questions than answers.
The scenes, taking place in December 2020, saw various characters dressed for a wedding, with Tom and Romeo wearing almost-identical suits.
Since then, fans have been speculating about who could be involved, with one popular theory suggesting Romeo could be due to tie the knot with Peri.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy about the speculation, Ruby – who plays Peri – said: "The flashforward episode obviously gives away a lot of clues as to what is happening in the episode.
"I have seen that theory about Peri if I'm honest and it is a possibility. But then again, anything could happen in Hollyoaks. They could be wrong or they could be right."

Another major twist in the flashforward episode surrounded Peri's relationship with Juliet – and the fact they appear to be romantically connected by the end of the year.
An emotional scene saw a tearful Peri and Juliet declaring their love for each other, but Ruby has insisted that she's currently in the dark about the finer details leading up to it.
"We don't know what was happening in those flashforward scenes at the moment," she said. "I am really glad it's been kept that way for us, just like it is for the audience. It's really exciting when they do that, I like it."
Hollyoaks currently airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing on E4 at 7pm. Wednesdays through Fridays on E4 feature classic episodes called Hollyoaks Favourites to compensate for the soap suspending filming.
