Hollyoaks has confirmed that Edward Hutchinson's daughter Verity is on her way back to the village – and this time, it looks like she'll be sticking around.
While Tony's sister Verity (Eva O'Hara) made her debut earlier this year and almost immediately got caught up in Tony and Diane's marriage crisis and Edward's plans to steal Diane for himself, it seems that wasn't enough to scare the lawyer away and tonight's E4 first-look episode (April 21) sees Verity begin to put down roots in the village.
Upcoming scenes will see Tony (Nick Pickard) and Diane's (Alex Fletcher) alone time interrupted by Verity's return. After delivering the news that Edward has left the village, it's not long before Tony invites his sister to stay with them.
Verity quickly confirms that she's sticking around this time and she later puts her plans into action when she approaches James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) with a proposition to go into business together by starting up their own law firm.
Meanwhile, Sami Maalik (Rishi Nair) looks keen to explore his feelings for Verity some more and invites her out for a drink, but Verity declines.
What to Read Next
Later in the week, Sami finds Verity and James and asks if he can join their new law firm as a third partner, and Verity agrees to consider his request on one condition: he has to find them the perfect premises for the new business.
Soon, Verity sets her sights on Donovan's salon and makes Grace (Tamara Black) an offer – but it's Courtney (Amy Conachan) who will make the final decision.

As well as setting up a new law firm, Verity will also be pulled back into the Hutchinson family drama as she promises Tony and Diane that Edward does have a good heart after Tony found out about Diane and Edward's affair.
What Tony still doesn't know though is that he's taking pills that Edward tampered with. Maybe Edward's heart isn't that good after all, then.
