Hollyoaks star Kieron Richardson has paid a touching tribute to Phillip Schofield for helping him publicly come out 10 years ago.
The This Morning presenter came out as gay yesterday (February 7) in a long social media post, followed by an emotional interview with co-host Holly Willoughby on the ITV morning show.
Taking to Instagram, Kieron thanked him and Holly for "letting [him] be brave and honest" when he decided to come out as gay in 2010.

Kieron shared a picture from his interview on This Morning, writing: "Phillip and Holly were the first people I told on @thismorning 10 years ago...letting me be brave and honest and confronting my truth.
"It was the best thing I did and [I] have nothing but love and respect for him today ALL hail schofe!!!!!"
In the interview, the Hollyoaks actor revealed to Phillip and Holly that his character Ste would be involved in a plot in which he would question his feelings for Brendan Brady (Emmett Scanlan).
After coming out, Phillip has been supported on air by Holly, Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, as well as on social media by colleagues and fans.
The presenter also shared an Instagram post, encouraging people to speak with others about their feelings.
Hollyoaks airs weekdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look episodes airing on E4 at 7pm.
