Hollyoaks has confirmed that the body found in the river outside The Dog is Louis Loveday.
Louis, who became the sixth victim of serial killer Breda McQueen in January, was officially identified by police in Monday's E4 first look episode (August 19) after being pulled out of the water by Jack Osborne when he was fishing.

Louis joined Hollyoaks in March 2015, played by Karl Collins. He moved to the village with his wife Simone (Jacqueline Boatswain) and son Zack (Duayne Boachie), taking up the position of deputy headteacher at Hollyoaks High.

Viewers soon discovered that Louis and Simone had a daughter, Lisa, who had been missing for 14 years. The couple were briefly fooled by Sonia Albright, an impostor who pretended to be Lisa, but the real deal arrived in April 2016 – played by X Factor star Rachel Adedeji.

Although Louis presented himself as a loyal family man, he also had an unfortunate habit of cheating – which ultimately led to his downfall when "bad dad" slayer Breda discovered this.
Way before Breda's arrival, Louis left Simone crushed in March 2016 when he revealed that he'd been having an affair with their friend Joanne Cardsley 14 years earlier. He was even with Joanne on the day that Lisa was taken.
At Christmas 2016, viewers also discovered that Louis had fathered a child, Daniel, with Leela Lomax when they had a one-time hook-up. This secret was finally exposed in September 2017.

In autumn 2017, Louis helped the local schoolkids escape a terrifying explosion at Hollyoaks High. Amid the drama, he shared a surprise kiss with firefighter Leela as their feelings for each other were revisited. In March the following year, Louis and Leela went public as a proper couple.
Louis left the village in June 2018 for a business trip to Hong Kong. When he arrived back in October, it was revealed that he'd secretly married Simone's sister Martine.
Despite this secret, Louis shamelessly moved back in with Leela and continued their relationship, even accidentally proposing to her.
As well as keeping his marriage to Martine secret, Louis rekindled a romance with his ex-wife Simone and they started a surprising affair. All of a sudden, Louis had three different women in his life to worry about.

On the day of his wedding with Leela, Martine stopped the ceremony by revealing her marriage to Louis and his affair with Simone.
As Louis was about to leave the village in disgrace, he was attacked by serial killer Breda, who was certain that the world would be a better place without him in it.
Louis unexpectedly survived the attack, so Breda took him to her family's pig farm to recover from his injuries and change his ways. She repeatedly encouraged him to focus his efforts on making amends with Leela, but his heart truly belonged to Simone.
When Louis discovered what Breda was truly capable of and made an ill-fated attempt to outsmart her, she retaliated by fatally attacking him with a heavy telephone and burying his body at the pig farm. These scenes aired in January 2019.
More recently, Breda was forced to move Louis's body after the local teens stumbled across her pig farm and got too close to the truth. We now know that Breda dumped Louis in the river to cover her tracks.
As Simone and Zack left shortly after Louis's final scenes, his remaining loved ones in the village are Lisa, Leela, Daniel and Martine. With Lisa and Leela particularly keen for answers, are Breda's days numbered?
