Hollyoaks star Adam Woodward has hinted at new "complications" for Brody Hudson and Sienna Blake as they explore the possibility of surrogacy.
The couple are looking into the possibility of starting a family together and Wednesday's E4 first look episode (July 31) saw them agree to start searching for a surrogate.
Much to the pair's surprise, Sienna's sister Liberty Savage (Jessamy Stoddart) was quick to offer her help – excitedly declaring that she could carry their baby.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy about the new storyline, Adam explained: "It's an interesting one and it brings up a number of issues, complications and things that Brody and Sienna will have to think about.

"It's not just as simple as looking for a surrogate, there's also the fact that Sienna already has babies out there but doesn't know where they are.

"There's the issues surrounding the missing twins and what that means for having another child. If Sienna struggles with that, it's how Brody would best support her through it.
"It's interesting and not as straightforward as a simple surrogacy, so it's been interesting playing that with Anna Passey."

Asked about the possibility of Liberty carrying the baby, Adam continued: "They have a relative offering to be their surrogate and in many ways, I can see why it would work. How it plays out in the storyline is that it could be a good thing, but it could bring more complications.
"There are questions of whether that person could become attached to the child, and how involved are they going to be in the child's life? For Sienna, Brody and Liberty, those are issues that they need to think about together.
"I think Brody would make a good dad. I can see him adapting to it quite well and I think it would change him fundamentally as a character."

Hollyoaks fans saw Brody and Sienna hit the rocks this week after Sienna's secret plan to kidnap her twins was exposed. However, the show's latest episode saw them talk through their issues and give their relationship another chance.
Asked whether they can make it work, Adam said: "I think so. They've got enough shared trauma, history and similarities to bring them back together. That was what originally brought them together – they're two damaged souls.
"There will always be something there, regardless of whichever way the show chooses to take the relationship. It'd be impossible for there to not be a connection there."
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
