Hollyoaks is gearing up for its most dramatic summer season yet as serial killer Breda McQueen lines up potential new victims and massive secrets are exposed with life-changing consequences.
Ahead of the action kicking off on Monday (July 22), Hollyoaks has released an action-packed new trailer revealing all of the biggest spoilers for the Six Weeks of Summer.

1. Breda strikes again
Not content with claiming seven victims so far, serial killer Breda McQueen is on the prowl for new targets. Given her penchant for murdering bad fathers, she should have no shortage of wrong'uns to choose from in this village.
Hollyoaks' new trailer hypes up the next few weeks as "a killer summer" and shows Breda closing in on her next victim. But who has she decided to target? The show has confirmed that at least one character will die this summer.
2. Darren is in danger
We can't imagine Hollyoaks without Darren and his wise-cracks, but hold on to your hats as he's firmly in Breda's firing line in upcoming episodes.

The show's trailer includes some first look footage of super-strict Breda giving Darren a hard time over his behaviour, prompting him to get frustrated and brand her "Scary Poppins".
Poor Darren doesn't know the half of it, but will he learn the hard way when Breda reaches for her next makeshift murder weapon?
3. Mercedes has a big decision to make
Mercedes' love triangle with her husband Sylver and secret lover Liam looks set to be a central summer storyline, as the village's queen of bad decision-making faces her next major dilemma.
With his feelings for Mercy growing by the day, Liam isn't satisfied being her bit on the side, so he urges her to leave Sylver and Bobby to be with him.
4. Breda hears too much
After a couple of near-misses where Breda is concerned, Mercedes may inadvertently give the sly schemer another motive to target her. As Mercedes frets on the phone about how Sylver can never find out about her affair, she's unaware that her murderous mother-in-law is in earshot.
Breda has already shown that she's fully prepared to break her own rules and do away with Mercedes – has our favourite McQueen pushed her luck too far this time?
5. A body is found in the river
There's another grisly discovery in the village when a body surfaces in the river outside the pub – as first spotted by a horrified Goldie. (We can rule her out as the victim, then.)
While there are plenty of villains in the village who could be responsible for this, it's worth noting that Breda looks very nervous when the body is found. Is this her next victim?
6. Harry finally discovers the truth about Mercedes
After weeks protesting his innocence over Grace's hit and run, Harry sees new hope for himself when he overhears Liam and Mercedes having a damning conversation over their guilt.
Harry – who's about to become a new father when his baby arrives – is quick to confront Mercedes with what he knows, although something tells us that getting her to confess won't be easy.
7. Jarry or Starry?
Harry's love life is looking just as eventful in the upcoming episodes… although let's face it, when isn't Harry's love life eventful?
James's doubts over Harry's innocence and his general jealous paranoia have pushed their relationship to breaking point recently and Hollyoaks' new trailer shows more drama to come between them.
Harry is also seen getting close to Ste again, which leads to them sharing another kiss. So, is it Jarry or Starry?
8. Maxine tells a shocking new lie
Maxine faces a worrying time when Dr Levi urges her to start being honest with her loved ones. The no-nonsense doctor correctly diagnoses Maxine with Munchausen's syndrome and suggests that it's time to set the record straight that there's nothing physically wrong with her.
Seemingly not listening to Levi's intervention, Maxine lets her deception escalate even further by claiming that a tumour has been found in her spine and she only has six months left to live.
9. Sienna uncovers Maxine's lies
Levi isn't the only person that Maxine has to worry about – she'll also have a fight on her hands to keep Sienna quiet too.
Sienna confronts Maxine after finding out that she's faking her illness, but Maxine insists that nobody needs to know her secret. With Sienna now in a serious relationship with Damon's best mate Brody, will she put an end to all the lies for everyone's sake?
10. Sienna makes a kidnap plan
Sienna's own behaviour will also be taking a rather extreme turn this summer, as she returns to her favourite past-time – kidnap.
After spotting two children she believes are her missing twins, Sienna gets frustrated when the police won't help her and hatches a highly risky plan to snatch the children. Will it end in tears?
11. Finn takes revenge against Laurie
After previously giving Diane advice on how to take down Laurie, evil Finn gets his own chance to exact revenge against the man who raped his sister.
A twist of fate sees Laurie and Finn share a prison van together and when Finn realises who the other man is, he goes on the attack. How far will he go to defend his sister? Could this be Laurie's final comeuppance?
12. Cleo gets jealous over Mitchell
The honeymoon period is well and truly over for new couple Mitchell and Cleo, as jealousy threatens their future together.
As trainee doctor Mitchell continues to work as a stripper on the side, Cleo becomes paranoid over the regular temptation that he's facing to cheat on her with other women. Mitchell insists that his playful routines are all an act, but will that be enough to satisfy Cleo?
Another intriguing moment in the trailer shows Mitchell pulling back a curtain at the hospital and reacting in surprise. Someone seems to have caught his eye, but who?
13. Prince and Peri's romantic chemistry is revisited
We know that Prince will be leaving the village this summer following Malique Thompson-Dwyer's decision to leave the show, but there'll be some romance ahead for him before he goes.
Prince and Peri are about to start working for Tom Cunningham as he launches his Tom's Turtles summer camp for children. Being in close proximity gives Prince and Peri to revisit some unfinished business between them… if super-strict Tom gives them the chance, that is.
14. Trouble for Brooke at the festival
Hollyoaks will be heading on-location this summer as a number of characters go off for an exciting trip to a music festival. Lisa, Cleo, Sinead, Ollie, Imran, Juliet and Brooke will all be involved in these scenes.
Brooke enjoys the chance to have some fun with her boyfriend Ollie and their friends, but soon becomes overwhelmed and suffers sensory overload during the celebrations. Will her fellow teens offer support?
15. Joel receives a sinister visitor
Joel the priest's relationship with Goldie seems like a bad idea for plenty of reasons, but not least because of her mum Breda's strict religious beliefs.
When Breda finds out that Joel is betraying the priesthood, she pays a visit to him at the church. Does she have the wayward man of the cloth in her sights?
16. Sami and Sinead give into temptation
Sami and Sinead look set to become the village's hottest new couple, as they're seen kissing in the upcoming summer scenes.
Sinead previously rejected Sami when he broke up with Liberty and wanted to move on with her straight away, but it seems that Sinead is now ready for a new relationship.
17. Leela demands answers over the local serial killer
After receiving much praise from fans for challenging Stuart's far-right group recently, next on Leela's agenda is exposing the unknown serial killer who's been bumping off victims in the village.
New scenes in the trailer show Leela berating the police for not doing enough to stop the mystery culprit. Could she be the one to bring down Breda?
18. Jack is also on the case
Breda's husband-to-be Jack Osborne also has strong feelings over the local serial killer, unaware that he's planning to marry her.
As Jack declares that the killer has to be stopped, could Breda decide that she needs to get rid of him before he finds out too much?
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look screenings at 7pm on E4.
