Emmerdale could be lining up more drama for Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle next week, as they seem to be on different pages over expanding their family.

The newlyweds should be in the honeymoon period right now, but there's trouble ahead when Aaron (Danny Miller) suggests it might be time to have a child of their own.

While Aaron sees this as the natural next step in their relationship, Robert (Ryan Hawley) is visibly stunned by the suggestion and doesn't seem so sure.

Later in the week, Aaron is keen to speak to his mum Chas about how he and Robert are planning to have a child via surrogacy.

When Robert stops him from revealing all to Chas, Aaron is concerned to realise that he's merely playing for time.

Does this mean that Robert doesn't want a child with Aaron?

Episodes airing this week see Rebecca consider leaving the village with Ross, Seb and Moses – much to the concern of Robert, Aaron and Charity.

Emmerdale bosses aren't giving away the outcome of this storyline, as it's unclear whether Rebecca and the kids will be joining Ross when he leaves on Friday (November 2).

Michael Parr, who plays Ross, recently explained: "Ross and Rebecca are more aware that Robert and Aaron are going to protest about them leaving with the kids.

"I think Ross – maybe narrow-mindedly, maybe reasonably – thought that Charity would be willing to let Moses go, because she's a bit of a crap mum, if you will!

"But she's turned a corner because Ryan has turned up and she's now trying to correct the mistakes from her younger years.

"It's a bit weird actually, because Ross is saying he should have parental responsibility because he's raised Moses, but then Rebecca is saying that she should have parental responsibility even though Robert has taken Seb. So it gets very complicated."

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Wednesday, November 7 at 7pm on ITV.
