Emmerdale triumphed at this year's British Soap Awards as it was crowned the Best British Soap for the second year running.
The ITV soap took home a total of six awards at this year's ceremony, which took place earlier this evening (June 3) in Manchester.
Ashley Thomas's long-running dementia storyline proved to be the night's big winner, scooping Best Storyline for the plot and Best Single Episode for a special instalment shown through the vicar's point of view.
When picking up the award for Best Single Episode, John Middleton – who plays Ashley – paid tribute to all the guest actors who played the "other" versions of the characters in the special episode that was the first of its kind for the soap.
The success didn't stop there for John, as he was also crowned Best Actor in the highly competitive viewer voted category, as well as picking up the award for 'Best Male Dramatic Performance – where he paid tribute to his on screen wife Charlotte Bellamy.
Charlotte was crowned Best Actress for her role as Ashley's supportive wife Laurel, with her award being presented by former EastEnders star Martine McCutcheon.

Kym Marsh took home the award for Best Female Dramatic Performance for her work on Michelle Connor's heartbreaking stillbirth storyline, while young actress Elle Mulvaney, who plays Amy Barlow, triumphed in the young actor category.
Rob Mallard went home as soap's best newcomer, while his fellow Corrie star Dolly-Rose Campbell won the Best Comedy Performance prize for her role as Gemma Winter – dedicating her win to the show's creator Tony Warren, who passed away last year.
It wasn't a bad night for Hollyoaks either as they won two awards for Jade and Alfie's cancer storyline, with Tony Hutchinson actor Nick Pickard also being awarded the Outstanding Achievement award, for his long-term dedication to the show
Richard Linnell and Kassius Nelson took home the Best On-Screen Partnership award, along with Scene of the Year for Jade's moving death.
Doctors' success came in the form of Lucy-Jo Hudson, who was crowned Villain of the Year for her controversial guest role as Rhiannon Davis.
EastEnders also one trophy – the Tony Warren Award, which was presented by Pam St Clement.
The British Soap Awards 2017 will air this Tuesday, June 6 from 8pm on ITV.
