Emmerdale aired a big twist in tonight's episode (May 12) as Aaron Livesy learned that his dad Gordon had been found dead in prison.
Aaron's life was turned upside down once again when DS Wise arrived at the Woolpack and delivered the shocking news, just as the mechanic was starting to move forward.
Although DS Wise was able to confirm that Gordon had died, he couldn't give any further details at the time, leaving Aaron and Chas to speculate on what might have happened.
While an overwhelmed Aaron struggled to process the news, his first thoughts were with the letter from Gordon that Robert had concealed from him.
Chas started to question whether Gordon took his own life in a bid to escape carrying out his jail sentence, but later had some far darker thoughts.
After questioning Cain over whether he had arranged for Gordon to be murdered inside prison, she soon turned her attention to Aaron's boyfriend Robert.

Chas and Cain were quick to address their suspicions with Aaron, who in a surprising twist agreed that he too believed that Robert might have been responsible.
All eyes will now be on Robert as the fallout continues in tomorrow night's episode, but did he have something to do with Gordon's death? And could this have the potential to tear Robert and Aaron apart already?
