As New Year's Eve arrives in the village, viewers get a tantalising glimpse at the future as five different flashforward scenes air.

The grieving B&B owner is left in tears as he reflects on the tragic loss of his son.
7. Cain supports Moira
Cain continues to bury his own guilt as he focuses on supporting Moira ahead of her latest hospital appointment.
On the day before the appointment, Cain and Moira try to distract themselves with a quiet lunch. Has Cain learned his lesson after failing to support Moira during her previous hospital visit?
