Emmerdale to air court twist for Nicola and Naomi

Emmerdale has a twist lined up for Nicola King and Naomi Walters' court showdown.

The two have been feuding for months because Naomi was on the scene when Nicola was attacked by a group of girls in a parking garage. While Naomi has sworn she wasn't part of the attack, Nicola is intent on revenge.

The day of the trial comes in upcoming scenes where Naomi learns that Saskia's attorney will claim they fell out over money before Nicola was hurt.

When things are looking pretty bad, Naomi's attorney has a crucial success when she cross-examines Nicola and essentially proves there are critical holes in the story. Still, Nicola is furious the gang may escape justice.

The following day, Naomi has an unpleasant run-in with Saskia in the toilets during a court break as her former friend claims she's owed money. Naomi is threatened that her family will face the consequences unless she changes her story to absolve the gang.

Saskia is next in the witness box but keeps her cool when Naomi's attorney points out her client has no reason to lie since she's already confessed to a lesser crime.

Next up, it's Naomi's turn to tell her story. As she's peppered with brutal questions for Saskia's attorney, Naomi finally lets loose with all of the threats she's been facing from her former friend.

The judge eventually instructs the jury that it's their turn to assess the case, with Nicola left uneasy over whether she will get justice.

Charles and Ethan rally around Naomi as they await a verdict, yet she seems convinced she'll be the one going to jail for a crime she didn't commit.
