Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Cain Dingle has finally reconciled with mum Faith in Emmerdale.
Faith has been desperate to make things right with her son since her terminal breast cancer diagnosis, but Cain previously refused to show any emotion about the news.
While sister Chas has been grappling with her mother's illness by carrying on an illicit affair with Al Chapman, Cain chose to keep his feelings inside.

"It's me who she's living with, and me who's going to all the doctors appointments and the chemo, but it's you that she wants," Chas admitted to her brother.
Cain eventually admitted: "After everything she's done, even now I still…"
He stopped himself before admitting he still loved his mum, though Chas clearly realised what he couldn't bring himself to say out loud.
However, Cain did remind Chas of a story from their childhood that showed how much Faith cared for her, giving Chas some much-needed peace of mind.

By sunrise the next morning, Faith walked out to join Cain as he thought long and hard about what to do. Finally, mother and song had a reconciliation as they let the past go.
"I want to be here," he told his mum.
Faith confided in her son: "I don't want to go, not yet."
"That makes two of us," Cain assured his mum.
When Cain still couldn't share with his mum that he loves her, Faith explained: "You don't have to say it. You never did."
The pair watched a beautiful sun rising over the hills, finally at peace.
