Emmerdale lines up heartwarming scenes for Marlon and April

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale is set to air an emotional and heartwarming scene between Marlon Dingle and April Windsor in the aftermath of his stroke.

Viewers will know that Marlon suffered a stroke a few weeks ago, with his daughter struggling to deal with the situation.

In new scenes on the soap, the family have a happier occasion to distract themselves with Rhona's birthday, and April wants to make it a special event. As such, she manages to pull off a surprise party at the Woolpack.

However, while at the party, Rhona remembers that she promised Marlon a visit, and to ease off the pressure, Chas volunteers Cain to take her place so that she can enjoy the party and make April happy.

Yet becomes Rhona increasingly eager to go to the hospital, though when April shows desperation to come with her, Rhona lies – though privately resolves to fight her case with Marlon.

Later at the hospital, Marlon feels guilty when Rhona tells him how much April misses him, and pushes for April to come and visit.

Sure enough, Marlon's daughter gets to come to the hospital the following day, and in a sweet moment April relaxes him with her humour. This brings Rhona to tears as she realises how maturely April deals with the situation.
