Emmerdale fans notice problem with Mack's revenge plan on Charity

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

When last night's (31 March) episode of Emmerdale saw Mackenzie and his sister, Moira take revenge on Charity, viewers were quick to point out it wasn't quite the 'public' humiliation Mack had in mind.

Having previously left the village, Mack returned in the episode after realising Charity didn't reciprocate his feelings – validated by her indifferent reaction to his suggestion that he move in with her as a gesture of commitment.

After Moira's emotions were exacerbated by Paddy misleading her to believe that Charity and her ex Vanessa had kissed, she sought to avenge her brother even more.

However, when the time came to humiliate Charity in the pub and confront her about the near-kiss, fans thought it was a missed opportunity.

Viewers took to social media to say Mack and Moira's plan was to no avail, as The Woolpack was essentially empty — leaving very few to witness the Charity/Vanessa 'public' humiliation.

One viewer wrote on Twitter: "Charity with her public humiliation by Mack, in The Woolpack in front of Vanessa and Moira. Whoa full on public humiliation."

A second fan added: "I would hardly call that a public humiliation considering there was about 4 other people there and it wasn't even humiliating, but ok."

Another wrote: "To publicly humiliate, the pub was hardly full to the brim, was it..."

A fourth said jokingly: "How to publicly humiliate someone according to Mackenzie: shout at the landlord with the only people present, your sister and her ex."

After confronting her about the kiss at the pub, Charity, who had been called a "liar" and a "horrible person", was defeated by Mack's final declaration that he had achieved his goal of "publicly humiliating" her — at least in his mind.
