Charity Dingle and Vanessa Woodfield's romantic chemistry has been revisited in Emmerdale.

The former couple have been on the outs ever since Vanessa returned to the village, given that they'd both moved on to other couples.

Nothing was going quite to plan on reopening day on Thursday (March 10), when a food delivery didn't turn up as planned and a rat infestation forced Liv and Vinny to move their wedding reception.

Charity angrily stormed over to Village Hall to confront Chas over Eric Pollard sabotaging the delivery when a mysterious hand was shown hitting the sprinkler system in the hall.

The fighting between the Dingles didn't stop there, as Charity went so far as to grab some of Lydia's homemade potato salad and fling it in Chas' face. Unfortunately, a local reporter was there to photograph it all.

Later, Charity discovered it was Mack who'd set off the sprinklers at the Village Hall to get revenge on the Dingles. Now furious on how the day went, Charity sacks Mack from the pub!

It would be a surprise visit from Vanessa that would cheer up Charity. The former lovers had some laughs looking back on better times together.

Passion took hold and Vanessa leaned in for a kiss, before almost immediately pulling away. While Charity admitted she'd "wanted" a reconciliation for a long time, Vanessa insisted she'd made a mistake.
