Emmerdale's Jacob Gallagher left regretful over one-night stand

Emmerdale's Jacob Gallagher will face regret in upcoming scenes, as he has a one-night stand with Chloe Harris.

Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) has been having a difficult time recently, having been struggling with his anger after finding out that serial killer Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) murdered his ex-girlfriend Leanna Cavanagh (Mimi Slinger) last summer.

In scenes airing next week, Jacob asks Chloe (Jessie Elland) if she will spend the night with him, keen not to be alone after everything that has happened recently, and Chloe agrees.

Unfortunately, the next day, Jacob makes it clear that he regrets what has happened between them and Chloe is fed up with his attitude.

With Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) having noticed that Chloe was out all night, she spots Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) coming out of the café and assumes that Chloe was with him, due to their ongoing relationship. Kerry proceeds to give Noah a lecture but bemused Noah is left puzzled by her words.

At Keepers Cottage later on, Noah is completely thrown when Chloe admits to him that she slept with Jacob.

Heading to the shop, angry Noah confronts Jacob over sleeping with Chloe.

Chloe later heads over to see Noah and apologises to him for spending the night with Jacob, but will the young couple be able to patch things up?

Emmerdale producer Jane Hudson revealed earlier this year that the soap will be exploring more storylines with its younger characters in 2022, telling Digital Spy and other media that the show is keen to appeal to all sections of its audience.

"This year the likes of Noah, Amelia, Samson, Archie, Cathy and Sarah – you're going to be seeing them much more prominent in the stories because they deal with topics that affect their generation and we see how they handle things," she said.

"It's really important that we keep our youngsters coming through because they are our next generation."

Emmerdale airs these scenes in the week commencing Monday, February 21 on ITV.
