Emmerdale has revealed Manpreet Sharma's fate following the road accident.
Manpreet was trying to stop Liam Cavanagh from taking revenge on her sister Meena Jutla over Leanna's murder when she was accidentally struck by Charles Anderson's car as he desperately searched for her.
Friday's episode (January 14) confirmed Manpreet had survived the crash but was unconscious. Rishi and Charles held a vigil outside of her hospital room and kept up hope she'd be able to recover.

Rishi hadn't heard the whole story about the road crash, so he'd vowed to find out who'd run down his ex-wife. Charles was about to confess what happened when Manpreet's doctor came out with an update.

Nothing in the CT scans picked up what happened when she was held captive by Meena, and the doctor warned Rishi and Charles that "things could go either way" in terms of whether Manpreet would survive.
When Charles finally shared the real story with Rishi, Manpreet's ex-husband accused the vicar of being "a coward" and "a liar" for not telling him the truth straight away.
"If she dies, this is on you," Rishi insisted.
Manpreet's vitals plunged during their argument, forcing her doctor and his team to immediately tend to her. Although they stabilised Manpreet, there was still no indication of whether she'd actually survive.
Rishi had finally come around after this latest scare, as he assured Charles he knew the vicar would never knowingly let harm come to Manpreet.
The Dingles were also hoping against hope for Manpreet's survival because the police had explained to Vinny they needed Manpreet's testimony to free Liv from jail.
"We need proper evidence, that's what the cops are saying," Vinny explained.
